Park in the heart of Shibuya
Aiming to become the future shopping center of Japanese pop culture, Shibuya Parco features nearly 200 stores in the mall, spread from the basement to the ninth floor.
In the basement, you'll find a food hall with a variety of unique restaurants. There are also shops for video game fans and geeks like us (don't miss the Nintendo store) and galleries for lovers of creativity. To top off the experience, you can visit their rooftop, which is open to the public.

Shibuya Parco and its geeky shops - CYBERSPACE SHIBUYA
Anime, manga and video game lovers will surely love the sixth floor of Shibuya Parco as much as I do. When you enter the elevator, you'll see this floor marked 'Shibuya Cyberspace', the center of pop culture, and no wonder, as this floor houses the first Pokémon Center in Shibuya, the first official Nintendo store in Japan, a Shonen Jump manga store and an eSports cafe among others…
This is the perfect place to go crazy and buy all the merch your geeky heart desires!
Nintendo Tokyo
Without a doubt, the jewel in the crown of this paradise for video game lovers is Shibuya Park, It is the Nintendo Tokyo store. Although New York has had the privilege of being home to the first exclusive Nintendo store in the world, and we don’t know why it took so long, but Japan finally has an official Nintendo store and it is located in the Shibuya Parco shopping complex.
Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Sonic the Hedgehog, Animal Crossing: these iconic games and their numerous sequels have won the hearts of millions around the world and deserve their own space. Once you enter the Nintendo Tokyo store, you'll see impressive life-size statues of game characters like Link or the endearing Cinnamon Among the aisles full of geeky merchandising… Maximum excitement…
Plus, in the Nintendo Store you'll find huge mushroom-shaped pillows, denim overall bags... Who could resist a Legend of Zelda tie? We also love the adorable Animal Crossing bento boxes and various kitchen utensils. Plush toys, notebooks, pens, plates, mugs, hand towels - the list is endless, and the only problem here is keeping your spending at reasonable levels...

Pokemon Center Shibuya
Just like every Pokemon store has a huge Pokemon at the entrance to welcome visitors, the Pokemon store at Shibuya Parco has a huge Mewtwo in an incubation chamber! It's mind-blowingly big and if you're lucky you can take a great photo like ours or one with it!
Pokemon Center Shibuya offers a wealth of Shibuya-exclusive items, including a series of peripherals designed in collaboration with the famous illustrator “Number-D.” And of course, plush toys, mugs, pens, cards…
Pokemon Design Lab Exclusive
At the Shibuya Parco store, there is also an area called “Pokemon Design Lab” that is available only at Pokemon Center Shibuya. After purchasing a T-shirt at the store, you can use a touch machine in this area to design your own T-shirt pattern and then ask the store staff to print the T-shirt on the spot. You can get your exclusive Pokemon clothing in 30-60 minutes.
This time, I didn't try it because there was too much waiting, but on my next visit I promise to try this Lab and tell you all about the experience!!

Jump Shop
The Jump Shop is a store that specializes in selling officially licensed merchandise of characters appearing in Shonen Jump magazine. Shonen Jump is a weekly manga magazine published by Shueisha since 1968, making it one of the oldest manga magazines, having started out as a bi-monthly publication before becoming a weekly magazine in 1969.
There are numerous Jump Shops located in Tokyo (Tokyo Character Street, Tokyo Dome, Tokyo SkyTree and Shibuya), Osaka (Umeda and Shinsaibashi), Sendai, Yokohama, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Kurashiki and Fukuoka.
Popular characters from such legendary titles as Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto dominate, but not without taking away the spotlight from the exhibits dedicated to more recent works such as My Hero Academia, Haikyu!! Demon Slayer or Chainsaw Man! I swept up the Jujutsu Kaisen merchandising, I'm a bit obsessed...
Jump Shop in Shibuya Parco offers a wide variety of products, from clothing and stationery to other collectibles that also function as souvenirs.

Capcom Store Shibuya Park
Shibuya Parco also has a “CAPCOM” store. Popular franchises include “Monster Hunter” super popular in Japan, “Street Fighter” my favorite childhood game… how many coins have those arcades taken… and «Resident Evil» known as BIOHAZARD in Japan is another of my favorites…. Also, at the entrance of the store, there is a statue of «Ryu» doing a «Hadouken», his famous technique in Street Fighter.
The shop is quite small, but the walls are packed with enough exclusive merchandise to satisfy even the most ardent fan. Socks, mugs, figurines, t-shirts, character-shaped cookies…
One wall is completely lined with plush toys of all the Capcom characters. These adorable plushies range from palm-sized to pillow-sized.
And of course here you have their official website.
Shibuya Parco - Rooftop Park
In addition, Shibuya Parco has a nice rooftop garden.. The trees and natural vegetation give the garden a more traditional feel, making it a perfect place to stop and relax.
After a full day exploring Tokyo's highlights, you can head out to the garden and enjoy an afternoon beer at the stylish bar. Commune or bring your own beers from the well-known combini.
Plus, the views over Shibuya are more intimate due to the lower altitude, which really makes you feel part of the city.

Dreamer Review – Is Shibuya Parco worth visiting?
After reading everything you can find, and even if you only go to the sixth floor, the answer is a resounding yes. On your trip to Tokyo, you can't miss getting lost in this shopping centre and spending more than you can imagine at the Nintendo store or Pokemon Center.
Another point in its favor is its location. Being in the heart of Shibuya, why not take a look even if you're not a big fan?
