The Oyama Dam: The Maria Wall
If you are planning a visit to Hita to immerse yourself in the world of Attack on Titan, you can't stop exploring the impressive Oyama DamThis structure is not only a key location for fans of the series, but also a marvel of engineering and nature.
This dam was built on the Akaishi River and has a height of 94 meters and a width of 370 meters, so when you look up you get the feeling that you are nothing more than a tiny human, it is not surprising that it is the Maria wall.

Finally, a highlight… If you have seen or read Attack on Titan, one thing is clear, Levi Ackerman is a genius!! Personally, I like Levi and Mikasa Ackerman the most. So I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the sculpture of Levi designed by the author himself, Hajime Isayama, which is located in Hita.
This bronze sculpture of Levi is located in the south square of Hita station, right in the city centre, so it's not hard to miss. It's small... like Levi but a big one! It's worth a visit.
How to get to the Levi Ackerman sculpture
As I mentioned before, we rented a car from Hakata and did the Hita and Yufuin part as a road trip. Being at the station, this part is easier to see if you come by train, so if you just want to see Levi and walk around Hita, you can do so without having to go by car.
