CONTENT SUMMARY OF THIS POST

Amiri Cafe & Dessert is that minimalist and tranquil corner in the heart of Melbourne's CBD. A place with Japanese vibes, delicate cakes, and coffee that doesn't disappoint. Let me tell you why this spot has earned a place on my list of favorites.

If you love minimalist Japanese design, brunch with an Asian touch, or are simply looking for an aesthetic place in Melbourne to disconnect and enjoy, Amiri Cafe & Dessert It's a must-visit. A place with Japanese vibes, delicious cakes, and coffee that never disappoints.

In this post, I'll tell you why this site has earned a spot on my favorites list.

Space: Japan in Melbourne

From the moment you walk in, everything exudes calm and sophistication. High ceilings, soft natural light, clean-lined furnishings, and a neutral palette with touches of wood. It's the kind of place where every corner seems designed to inspire and relax.

If you are a fan of the Japanese aesthetic styleThis café is for you: nothing overdone, every detail has a purpose, from the handcrafted tableware to the layout of the space.

Brunch with an Asian soul

Amiri's menu blends classic flavors with the essence of modern Asian cuisine. Brunch here isn't your typical Melbourne fare; it's more refined, more delicate, more… Zen.

Some of their most popular dishes are:

  • Kyoto Omurice: A soft Japanese omelet covering rice with a teriyaki burger, topped with aromatic curry.

  • Wagyu Katsu Sando: : panko-breaded wagyu beef, soft bread and homemade chips.

  • Tom Yum Ramen: a bowl that fuses Japanese ramen with the spicy and sour touch of Southeast Asia.

Each dish is presented with extreme care, following that Japanese aesthetic where visual harmony is as important as flavor.

And for a snack... Desserts that look like they came from a studio.

And if what you want is a snack, the sweets at Amiri are pure visual poetry.

  • Matcha Lover Set: mousse, tiramisu and ice cream in pastel green, a Japanese tea lover's dream.

  • Durian Deluxe: Bold and sophisticated, perfect for those looking for something different.

  • Strawberry Shortcake: my choice, and I'm still dreaming about it. Smooth, light, with fresh strawberries and a cream that melts in your mouth.

If you like the matcha, here you will feel at home: latte, hojicha, and much more.

Dreamer Review: Brunch Aesthetics and Dreams Come True

We asked for a classic latte and cappuccino (delicious, creamy, served in a pretty cup!) and the Strawberry Short Cake and Rose Lychee, which were very tasty.

Plus, the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing or working quietly. I loved how stress-free everything is: you arrive, get a table, order from your phone, and that's it. Just remember that you have 90 minutes to enjoy (enough time to eat and take your photos).

Amiri is not just an aesthetic café: it is an experience that mixes Japanese brunch, artistic desserts, and minimalist design Located in the heart of Melbourne, this cafe deserves to be on your list.

I'll definitely be back. Next goal: toast with Nutella and cheesecake!
