What to pack for Australia: Where to start
I still remember the day I realized I had to pack in a suitcase the things I needed to live for a year in a country I had never been to and that was totally different from my own. You start the phase looking for hours of advice on the internet and although there is some, many of them were quite surreal... like a suitcase for influencers or something like that... here we give you some advice on what to take in your suitcase to Australia.
Each person is unique, and what you pack in your suitcase will depend a lot on your hobbies, needs or simply your preferences.
First of all, you need to consider which airline you are flying with, as this will determine how many bags you can take and what their maximum weight and size are.
The usual thing is to carry a cabin suitcase of between 7 and 10 kilos (be careful with the measurements! They don't make you check it in) and between 20 and 30 kilos in the suitcase you are going to check in.
What to pack for Australia: The weather
Then we have to ask ourselves what the weather is going to be like there, because The seasons are different if we are in Spain.
To give you an idea, Autumn is from March 1st to May 31st, Winter is from June 1st to August 31st, Spring is from September 1st to November 30th and finally Summer is from December 1st to February 28th or 29th… DownUnder they call it…
Of course, another super important factor when deciding what to pack in your suitcase for Australia is the city you are going to. Going to Brisbane is not the same as going to Melbourne or Hobart. The eastern part of Australia has a classic tropical climate, so if you are going to Brisbane , Gold Coast either Byron Bay you would save yourself from having to bring winter clothes.
In Sydney and Melbourne, we find a climate more similar to Madrid if we talk about Spain, so you should bring all seasons and if you are going to Tasmania already studying to Hobart, although in summer the temperatures are warmer, prepare warm clothes!!
